Last updated 30 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Bloxroute (Pty) Ltd (“Bloxroute”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information in connection with bloxroute.dev, www.bloxroute.dev and enquiries sent to us. Bloxroute is the responsible party for this processing under South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

1. Who to contact

Bloxroute (Pty) Ltd
22 Belle Ombre Road, Tamboerskloof, Cape Town, Western Cape, 8001, South Africa
Email: hello@bloxroute.dev

For privacy questions or requests, email us with “Privacy request” in the subject line.

2. Information collected

If you email us, we receive your email address, name if provided, message, attachments and any other information you choose to share. Please avoid sending passwords, wallet seed phrases, identity documents or other sensitive information in an initial enquiry.

When you visit, our hosting and security providers process technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps and security events to deliver and protect the website. This information comes from your browser and network requests.

The current website does not have account registration, checkout, a contact form or analytics and advertising scripts added by Bloxroute. Clicking our contact link opens your email application; it does not send a message automatically.

3. Purposes and grounds for processing

We use enquiry information to respond, discuss potential work and take steps you request before entering a contract. We use technical information for our legitimate interests in operating a reliable website, preventing abuse and resolving faults. We may also process information to comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Where consent is required, we will ask for it separately.

Sending an enquiry is voluntary. Without sufficient contact or project information, we may be unable to respond or assess your request. Technical information is processed as part of delivering the website. Visiting this site does not subscribe you to marketing.

4. Hosting, cookies and recipients

The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites and delivered using Cloudflare infrastructure. These providers process technical information needed for hosting, content delivery and security. Email providers process correspondence when you contact us. Information may also be shared with professional advisers or authorities where necessary for a lawful purpose.

Cloudflare may set the __cf_bm security cookie to help distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic. It expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. Other security mechanisms may apply if a request is challenged. See Cloudflare’s cookie documentation. Your browser can restrict cookies, although doing so may affect access or security checks.

This landing page does not include advertising trackers or a mechanism for selling personal information.

5. International processing

Our hosting, security and email providers may process information outside South Africa. Any transfer by Bloxroute must meet an applicable condition under section 72 of POPIA, such as adequate protection under law or a binding agreement, or another lawful transfer ground. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your enquiry.

6. Retention and security

We retain enquiry information for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage the resulting relationship and meet applicable legal or recordkeeping requirements. The appropriate period depends on whether an enquiry becomes a project, any ongoing correspondence and legal obligations. Technical records and security cookies are subject to the relevant provider’s retention settings. Information that is no longer needed should be deleted or de-identified, unless lawful retention is required.

We use HTTPS for website traffic. No internet service or email channel can guarantee absolute security. If a security compromise affects personal information, any required notifications will be handled in accordance with POPIA.

7. Your rights

Subject to POPIA and applicable exceptions, you may ask whether we hold your personal information, request access, seek correction or deletion, or object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before acting on a request. We do not use this landing page to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.

You may lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator without first contacting us. Visit the Information Regulator’s complaints page or email POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.

8. Scope and changes

This notice covers this company website and its enquiries. Separate applications and client services may require their own privacy notices, including Sonic. We will update this page when the website or relevant processing changes and revise the date above. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
